Inspired by the financial genius of men like Warren Buffet, Peter Lynch, Charlie Munger, and Seth Klarman, Brandon was just 20 years old when he began educating himself in business and intelligent investing. Using books and online resources, he learned how to read financial reports and make business evaluations. He saw that financial reports had their foundation in accounting, and accounting is the language that makes sense of them. To become more fluent in that language, Brandon decided, he needed to pursue a degree in finance, including lots of accounting courses.
This kind of high level, self-directed motivation and the financial skills it led him to develop impressed the Duke Team. Now an accounting associate with the firm, Brandon is in charge of all the company’s accounts payable. He brings his focused, hard-work ethic to the office every day with a positive attitude and a smile for co-workers and clients alike.
