All in One

Recently a long time client called, wanting our help selling his 84,700 SF office portfolio in Southfield. Constructed in the 1960s, the four buildings each had some deferred maintenance issues. After reviewing them, Andrew Battersby contracted with the seller to list all four buildings separately.

As he implemented his marketing strategy, Andrew reached out to an area investor with whom he has a strong relationship. The investor, as Andrew suspected, was interested in not just one of the buildings, but in the entire four-building portfolio. Despite the deferred maintenance, the transaction moved easily through escrow to a smooth close.

The seller netted a strong price for his 50-plus-year-old buildings in a non-stressful transaction with a seasoned, sophisticated purchaser capable of acquiring the entire portfolio at once.

It’s another example of how the Thomas Duke Company couples the power of relationships with robust marketing capability for success in commercial real estate transactions.
